Our office is on the first floor at 70, Zaveri Bazar, right across from Hotel Bhagat Tarachand. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know how crowded and loud it gets. Between the food smells from the hotel and the constant shouting of the vendors, there’s never a dull moment. We at R. V. Agrawal Impex spend our days in a space that’s usually filled with people dropping in to talk about trade or check on a shipment. The stairs leading up to us are a bit steep and narrow, which is just part of being in an old building in the bazaar. We don't have a lot of space for fancy decorations. Most of the room is taken up by desks, chairs, and filing cabinets that have been there for years. We do a lot of import and export work, so there’s a lot of time spent on the phone or looking at shipping documents. It can get stressful when a container is delayed, but we just keep at it. We aren't a corporate giant; we’re a small team that knows each other well. We eat our lunch together and deal with the chaos of the market outside. It’s a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat and the crowds, but we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves in a quiet office. It is just the way we like it.
