Our place is in the Panchratna building at 536, Mama Parmanand Marg. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets with all the diamond merchants and traders moving around. We are tucked away in one of the many offices here. The space is pretty simple, with some sorting tables and basic office chairs. There is always a stack of paperwork on the main desk that never seems to get any smaller. We have been working from this location for many years, so we have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Mama Parmanand Marg is always packed with cars and bikes, and the noise definitely makes its way up to us. Inside, we just focus on the task at hand, whether it is checking inventory or talking to people who drop by. It is not a place with fancy decorations or anything like that. We have a small cupboard for our bags and a few faded calendars on the walls. Most of the guys here have been doing this for decades, so we don't need much instruction on what to do when we arrive in the morning. We just settle in, turn on the desk lamps, and start our work. It is a steady routine that keeps us busy from morning until evening. We take our breaks when we can, usually just a quick chat and a snack.
