R K Interior

Up on the third floor of the Navdit building in Thane East, you will find us working away on various projects. Room number 40 is where we keep all our samples, sketches, and tools. Being in Subash Nagar, specifically near Chandani Koliwada, it is a very lively area but the office itself is usually quiet until we start cutting wood or moving furniture around. R K Interior is not a massive showroom with bright lights. It is more of a workspace where we figure out how to make things fit into people’s homes without wasting space. We spend a lot of our time out at work sites, taking measurements and talking to the carpenters. Our desks are usually buried under blueprints and bits of laminate or fabric swatches. It is a lot of back and forth, making sure the colors match and the sizes are exactly right. Sometimes we get stuck in Thane traffic for hours just to pick up a specific handle or a pack of hinges. It is hard work, and my hands are usually covered in pencil marks or wood glue by the end of the day. We have been here in this society for a bit, and we just take one job at a time. It is not about being the biggest name, just about doing the work that needs doing. We focus on the practical side of things.
