You’ll find R. J. Shah & Co. at 38 Bibi Jan Street. We’re on the second floor, Room No. 40. This is in the Paidhoni area, which is always crowded and full of life. It’s a very old building. The stairs are narrow and a bit steep, so you have to watch your step coming up. Once you get to the second floor, our room is tucked away. It’s a small space, filled with ledgers and old wooden furniture. We’ve been here for a long time. The street outside is always noisy with carts and people shouting, but inside it’s a bit calmer. We do our business the old-fashioned way. Lots of paper, lots of hand-written notes. We know most of our clients by name because they’ve been coming to us for years. It’s not the kind of place with air conditioning in every corner. We usually just have the windows open or a fan running. We handle the accounts and the paperwork for a lot of different people. It’s simple, steady work. We don't try to act like a big corporation. We're just a small office in Paidhoni. Sometimes the mail gets mixed up with the neighbors, but we just walk over and hand it to them. That's just how the building is. We’re in Room 40 every day from morning until late afternoon, just keeping the books in order and making sure everything is where it should be.
