R. J. & Co.

R. J. & Co. is based at 236, Bazargate Street, inside Arya Samaj House in the Fort area. Fort is a place with a lot of character, full of these grand old stone buildings and narrow side streets. Our office is in one of those buildings. It has high ceilings and those old windows that let in a bit of a breeze if the weather is right. It isn't a modern office park with cubicles. We have heavy wooden furniture and stacks of files that have been there for years. Working in Fort means you are close to everything, but the traffic can be a real headache. We mostly spend our days handling accounts or dealing with clients who drop in. It is a quiet kind of work compared to the shops in the markets. We have a tea guy who comes by twice a day, and that is usually when we take a break. The stairs in the building are worn down from so many people walking on them over the decades. We aren't a big company with hundreds of employees. It is just a small team of us who have known each other for a long time. We do our jobs, answer the mail, and keep things moving. There is no corporate manual here; we just know how things are supposed to be done based on experience.
