You can find us over at Shop No B 5 in the Vijay Vihar Society. We are right in Chembur, near the Western Expresighs Hway, though the traffic there can be a real mess during rush hour. Most people use the Celebration Hotel as a landmark to find us since it’s so close. Being in a society like Vijay Vihar means we see a lot of the same faces every day, which is nice. At R Gordhandas & Co, we don't have a big corporate setup. It is just a straightforward shop with some shelves and a few desks where we sit. The noise from the highway is a constant hum in the background, but after a while, you stop noticing it. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just sorting through our stock. The space is a bit tight, especially when we have a lot of deliveries coming in at once, but we make it work. It’s a practical kind of place. We don’t have fancy decorations or a lobby. People just walk in, we talk about what they need, and we get to it. Sometimes we have tea brought in from the stall nearby while we work. It’s just the usual daily routine of a small business in Chembur. We like the location because it’s easy to get onto the main road once the work day is finished and we head home. It is a busy life here.
