You will find R. G. Desai & Company over on the second floor of Sunita Apartments. It is at 62 Cc Pedder Road, which is a pretty well-known spot in Mumbai. We have been here for quite a while now. The office is a bit old-fashioned, with heavy wooden desks and lots of files everywhere. We do professional work, mostly keeping track of things and making sure the numbers or the legal bits add up for our clients. Pedder Road is always humming with cars, but once you get up to the second floor, it is a bit calmer. We are not a big firm with hundreds of employees. It is just a handful of us who have worked together for years. We know our clients by name, and they know us. We do not really do the whole modern office thing with open plans and bean bags. We prefer having our own space to focus. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow, so we end up taking the stairs. It keeps us moving. We do not have a website that is updated every day or a social media person. Our work comes from people who have been coming to this address for decades. We just keep our heads down and get the job done. It is a steady pace, and we do not feel the need to rush things or act like we are bigger than we are.
