We are located at Shop No. 1 in the Old Hanuman Building. It’s on Chunam Lane, right near Grant Road East. If you know the Dr D. B. Marg area, you know it stays pretty packed with people and traffic. Qume Electronics is just a small outfit tucked into this corner of the city. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Our shop isn't big, but we fit everything we need inside. Electronics can be tricky, so we spend a lot of time looking at small parts and boards. It’s quiet work mostly, punctuated by the noise from the street outside. We don't really do the whole corporate image thing. Most of us wear regular clothes and just get to work when we arrive in the morning. Sometimes the building feels its age, but it has character. We handle the usual electronic supply and repair stuff that comes our way. There isn't a massive warehouse, just our shop floor and some storage. People stop by because they know where we are. We don't do much advertising; word of mouth seems to work okay for us. It’s a bit cramped when we get a large shipment, but we manage. Just a bunch of people working with circuits and wires in a busy part of Mumbai. Chunam Lane can be quite a squeeze for delivery vans, but we make it work somehow. We've got our routine down after all this time.
