Purnima Novelty House

Purnima Novelty House is located inside the Parsuram Puriya Chember in West Malad. If you know Malad West, you know it can be a bit of a maze with all the buildings and shops tucked away. Our place is in the chamber, which is a sturdy old building that has seen a lot of years. We don't just sell shoes; we have all sorts of novelty items and small things that people like to browse through. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside because there is so much stuff packed into the shelves. We have bags, little trinkets, and footwear all mixed together, but we usually know where everything is. The light in the chamber isn't always the brightest, so we have a few extra lamps to help people see the colors of the items. Malad is always buzzing with energy, and West Malad especially has that fast-paced Mumbai feel to it. Sometimes we just sit and watch the people going about their business in the hallway. It is a lot of work keeping track of all the small items in a novelty house. We get all kinds of visitors, some just looking and some who have been coming to Parsuram Puriya Chember for years. It is a familiar routine, opening the shop and seeing who walks in. We are just a small part of the big city here.
