Punch Exporters

Punch Exporters is situated at 309, Standard House, on the 3rd Floor. The building is at 83 Maharshi Karve Road, right near Marine Lines. It is an old structure with a lot of character and a very slow elevator. We often just walk up the stairs because it is faster. Our office is a bit crowded because we have fabric samples and boxes everywhere. We export garments and other textile items to various places. It is a lot of coordination between the factories and the shipping agents. We have a few old wooden desks and some chairs that have seen better days. The noise from the trains at Marine Lines station is always there in the background. We don't have a big staff, just a few people handling the accounts and the orders. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the samples before they go out. Sometimes we find a mistake and have to start all over again. We don't have a fancy showroom for our clothes. We just show people the samples right here on the table. We drink plenty of tea and try to stay on top of the emails. It is not a glamorous business but it is what we know. We have been in this building for many years and we know all the other tenants. It feels like a small community.
