About Pruthvi Construction – Building & Construction Material in Mumbai
Our office at 65 Chandwarkar Lane is usually filled with rolls of paper and bits of stone samples. We aren't in the office much because most of the work happens outside where the actual building is going on. When we are here, we are usually sitting around a large wooden table looking at drawings. There is a lot of grit and sand that gets tracked in from the sites, so the floor never looks truly clean. We have a small stove in the corner to make tea for the contractors when they stop by to talk about the cement or the bricks. The shelves are packed with old files and samples of different bathroom tiles. It’s a bit cramped, especially when more than three people are inside at once. We use a lot of pencils and rulers, and there is always a tape measure lying around somewhere. Outside the window, the lane is narrow and noisy. We spend our mornings talking to the guys on site and our afternoons trying to get the paperwork sorted out. It’s a lot of manual work and checking things twice. We don't have any fancy computer setups, just the basics to get the job done. The light in the office is a bit dim, but it’s where we do all our planning before the real heavy lifting starts on the actual construction plots. Most of our days are just grit, cement, and trying to stay on schedule.
