Our office is at 63, Bombay Samachar Marg, right in the heart of the old city. It’s one of those parts of Mumbai where the buildings have a lot of history and the streets are always narrow and packed with people. Being on Bombay Samachar Marg means we’re surrounded by old architecture and the constant buzz of the Fort area. The office itself is a bit cramped because we’ve got so many files and samples of the tapes and labels we work with. It’s a bit of an older building, so the stairs are steep and the windows have those heavy frames. We don’t have a big fancy reception area. When you walk in, you’re basically right in the middle of where the work happens. The staff here has been around for a long time, so we’re more like a small community than a corporate office. We deal with things like insulation and specialty tapes, which sounds a bit boring to some, but it keeps us busy. The monsoon season is always a challenge because the old walls tend to get a bit damp, but we manage. We spend our days answering calls, sorting out orders, and trying to keep the paperwork from taking over the desks. It’s a simple, honest way to earn a living in a very busy part of the world. We just focus on what needs to be done today and make sure our customers get what they asked for.
