Progressive Agriventures Private Limited

You wouldn't usually think of an agriculture business being in the middle of Mumbai, but that’s where Progressive Agriventures Private Limited is. We are located in Lower Parel, right off Ganpatrao Kadam Marg. Our office is B1/401 in the Marathon Innova building. It’s a busy part of the city, and the commute can be pretty tiring with all the people and the trains. We spend our days looking at spreadsheets and talking to suppliers from all over. Even though we are surrounded by concrete and tall buildings, our minds are always on the farms and the fields. We handle the business side of things, like the logistics and the ventures that help get projects off the ground. It is a lot of paperwork and meetings in small conference rooms that always seem to be a bit too cold because of the air conditioning. We aren't out there digging in the dirt ourselves, but we make sure the people who do have what they need. The office is full of files and coffee mugs. It’s a professional enough setup, but we don't go in for all that corporate jargon. We just talk like regular people about how to move things from point A to point B. It’s a different way to be involved in farming, but someone has to stay in the city to manage the details.
