Our place, Printing Ink & Varnish Printing Ink & Paint Raw Material, is situated on Subhash Road in Vile Parle (East). It is a busy area, especially with the train station nearby, so there is always a lot of movement. We deal with all kinds of raw materials for inks and paints, so the smell of the shop is pretty distinctive. You get used to it after five minutes, but visitors always notice it right away. The shelves are packed with containers and bags of different pigments and chemicals. We try to keep things organized, but when a big shipment comes in, the aisles get a bit crowded for a day or two. It’s a family-style environment here. We have a few regular customers who have been coming to us for years, and we usually know what they need before they even ask. Subhash Road has changed a lot since we first started, with new shops opening up and others closing, but we’ve stayed right here. We don't spend money on fancy displays. We just make sure we have the supplies people are looking for. The back room is where we keep the bulkier stuff. It’s a bit dim back there, but we know where everything is by heart. If you are walking down the street, you can’t miss us. We are the ones with the stacks of crates near the entrance. It’s a lot of lifting and moving, but it keeps us busy and the day goes by fast.
