Printek

Printek is located at Gala Number 1/B in Bhanushali Wadi. We are right on Ganesh Lane, which is off Jangleshwar Mandir Road. It is a small unit, what we call a gala, and it is packed with our machines and paper stock. You can usually smell the ink as soon as you walk through the door. The lane is quite narrow, so when a delivery truck comes, everything else has to wait. We are very close to the temple, so we hear the bells and the people passing by every morning. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside with all the equipment, but we know exactly where everything is kept. The floor is concrete and often has a few ink stains here and there, which is normal for a place like ours. We work through the day with the sound of the machines running in the background. It gets a bit loud, so we have to speak up to hear each other. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just take a break and wait for it to come back. Most of our neighbors in Bhanushali Wadi are other small workshops or families who have lived here forever. We just keep our heads down and get the printing done for whoever needs it that day.
