Preparation Of Materials Requisition

Located down in Manimangalam, Alappuzha, our little setup handles all the materials requisition stuff for projects around this part of Kerala. It’s a lot of writing down what is needed, from cement bags to steel rods, and making sure the orders go out to the right suppliers. Alappuzha is a beautiful place, but doing business here means you have to be patient with the weather and the transport. We spend most of our mornings checking the inventory lists against what the guys on the ground are asking for. It is easy to lose track if you aren't careful, so we keep a lot of logbooks. I’ve been doing this for a long time now. The office isn't much to look at, just some desks and a lot of files, but it's where the work happens. We don't really do anything else besides this specific requisition work. It keeps us occupied. Sometimes we have to stay late when a big shipment is coming in and we need to verify the counts. There’s a lot of tea drinking involved while we wait for calls back from the vendors. Most people around here know us by name, which makes things easier when there is a delay or a mistake in the order. It’s just the way things are done in a place like this, nothing complicated about it.
