Prati Industries

Prati Industries is tucked away in the Bharat Coal Compound at 6H/4. It’s on Bail Bazar Road in Kurla West, which is always a bit of a scramble to get through in the mornings. The compound itself has seen better days, and it’s full of different small businesses all doing their own thing. We’ve got our unit there, and it’s where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s an industrial vibe, through and through. There’s always the smell of oil and metal in the air, and the floor is never really clean no matter how much we sweep it. We do a lot of heavy lifting and fabrication work. It's the kind of job that leaves your back aching at the end of the shift. We have a small crew, and we’ve all been working together long enough that we don’t need to say much to get the job done. Lunch is usually a quick affair, eaten out of tiffin boxes in the corner. We don’t have a receptionist or a big sign out front. If someone needs us, they just find the door and shout for one of us. It’s a straightforward way to run things. We deal with the regular headaches like machine breakdowns or late material deliveries, but we just keep pushing through until the work is finished for the day. It’s been our routine for years now, and we just keep at it.
