About Prashant Rajaram Varadkar – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Mumbai
My office is in Kandivali West, specifically Office No 8 inside Lotus Court. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but most people manage to find us without too much trouble. The plot is situated in a way that catches the morning sun, which makes the office quite bright. I’ve been working under my own name, Prashant Rajaram Varadkar, for many years now. It’s a small operation. Most of the time, it’s just me sitting at the main desk handling whatever comes in that day. Lotus Court is an older building, so it has that specific smell of old concrete and paper. There’s no big lobby or receptionist to greet you. You just come up and knock on the door. I like the independence of it. Kandivali is a fast-paced area, but inside Office No 8, things move at a bit of a slower, more deliberate speed. I don't like rushing things just for the sake of it. The desk is usually covered in folders and my old calendar. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of a clicking noise, but it still works fine so I haven't replaced it yet. It’s a very local way of doing things, and that suits me just fine. I’ve lived around here a long time, so I know the neighbors and the local shops well. It’s just a normal job. No fancy slogans here, just me and my desk and the work that needs finishing.
