Pranali Hume Pipe Industries is based over in Sahar, on Devidas Lane at G-4. It’s a bit of an out-of-the-way spot, but that gives us the space we need for the pipes. Hume pipes are big and heavy, so we aren't exactly in a retail shopping mall. The yard is usually full of concrete pipes of different sizes waiting to be moved out. It’s a dusty place, and when it rains, it gets pretty muddy. That's just the nature of working with concrete and heavy machinery. We have a small office on-site, but most of the time we're outside checking on things. It's not a place for fancy clothes. We wear boots and work clothes because things get messy. We've been operating from this Sahar location for a long time. People who need these kinds of pipes know where to find us. We don't do any big advertising campaigns. We just focus on making the pipes and getting them to the sites where they're needed. Sometimes the trucks are late, or the weather doesn't cooperate, but we just deal with it. It’s a very straightforward business. No corporate fluff, no big meetings. We just make sure the pipes are solid and ready for use. If you come by, you'll see the stacks of concrete from the road.
