Prakash Enterprises is located in Mulund East. We are in Rn 9, Marhiyambai Chawl on G K Gokhale Road, Mumbai-400 081. Life in a chawl is always full of noise and movement. Room number 9 is where we keep our files and take our calls. G K Gokhale Road is a busy stretch and the sounds of traffic are constant. You get used to the trains and the horns after a while. It’s a tight space but we make it work for us. There isn’t any room for a lobby or fancy furniture. We have a couple of desks and a lot of ledgers. Mulund is a good place to be even if it feels crowded sometimes. The monsoon rains really hit this part of Mumbai hard. We have to make sure the roof doesn't leak onto our paperwork. Everyone in the chawl knows each other so there is always someone to talk to. We drink tea from the stall at the corner while we plan the day. It’s an honest way to run things. We don't have a website or a big marketing budget. Our address on G K Gokhale Road is enough for people to find us. We’ve been in this room for years. It’s small and it’s noisy but it’s ours. We just show up every morning and do what needs doing until it’s time to go home.
