Down here at 111 in the Damji Shamji Industrial Estate, things stay pretty loud. Pragati Glass Pvt. Ltd. is situated right along L.B.S Marg in Kurla West, which is a place that never really sleeps. If you know this area, you know the traffic on L.B.S Marg can be a real headache, but we are used to it by now. The estate itself is full of different businesses, but you can usually tell where we are by the sound of glass or the crates being moved around. It is a gritty, hardworking environment. We don't have fancy carpets or glass walls in the office, just sturdy desks and plenty of space for the inventory. Our crew works hard, mostly focused on getting the orders ready and making sure the glass is handled right, which is no small task. The dust from the industrial estate is constant, so we spend a lot of time wiping things down. It is a practical space for a practical business. We’ve seen many shops come and go in Kurla, but we stay steady here. Most of us have been working in this estate for a long time, so we know all the other shop owners. We grab tea from the same guy every afternoon. It’s a simple life, focused on the glass and the daily grind of the industrial zone. We aren't looking to change much about how we operate because the current way seems to work for everyone involved.
