Practice Architecture

Practice Architecture is located at Shop No 5 in Stadium House, right near Church Gate and Motilal Nagar. It is a bit of a walk from the main station, but it’s a good spot to be. The shop itself isn't very large, so we have to be quite organized with where we put our drawing boards and the computer towers. You can hear the city moving outside all day long. Sometimes it’s the sound of the trains or just people walking by on their way to the stadium. We mostly spend our time staring at site maps and trying to solve puzzles about how to use space better. It is not always exciting work, but it is what we know how to do. We don't have a big sign or anything too flashy. Most people find us because they live nearby or they know someone we worked for in the past. It feels like a neighborhood shop more than a formal office. We have a small kettle in the back for making tea when the afternoon slump hits. The walls are covered in half-finished ideas and some photos of old projects that we’re still proud of. It’s a bit dusty with all the paper around, but it works for us. We just try to stay honest about what can be built and what can't, keeping things realistic for everyone involved. We aren't trying to change the world, just making sure people have decent spaces to live and work in every day.
