Prachi Gifts

If you find yourself walking through the D Block in MIDC Dharavi, you might come across Prachi Gifts at number 226. It’s tucked away in 6/10, a spot we’ve called home for a good while now. The shop is usually buzzing with the sounds of the neighborhood, and we like it that way. We mostly sell everyday items and little things people buy when they’re heading to a celebration or just want to treat someone. It's not a big corporate showroom or anything like that. We have shelves filled with different items, some we've had for a bit and others that just arrived this morning. We spend a lot of our time dusting the displays and rearranging stuff so people can actually see what’s available. Sometimes the air gets a bit stuffy when it’s crowded, but that’s just how it goes in this part of town. We don't have a huge staff, usually it's just family members helping out between their other chores. People come in for all sorts of things, maybe a small toy or some decorative items for their house. We try to keep the prices fair because we know the people living around here. It’s a simple business, really. We open up early and stay until the street gets quiet at night. Every day is a bit different depending on who walks through the door. It's just our little corner in Dharavi where we do our work.
