PRABHADEVI NIDHI LIMITED

Our office is on the ground floor of the Siddhi Prabha building in Mumbai. It’s at Plot 113/115. Being on the ground floor is lucky because it stays a bit cooler during those really humid Mumbai afternoons. We get a lot of people just dropping by because we’re right there on the street level. The office isn't very large, but we’ve managed to fit enough desks for everyone. It’s a busy area of the city, so there’s always noise from the street, but you get used to it after a week or two. We mostly deal with the local residents in the 400025 zip code. Everyone knows each other around here. We handle the savings accounts and the small stuff that people need. It’s not like those big corporate banks in the high-rises. We have a small kettle for tea and we usually have some biscuits around for when we take a break. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to wait for the screens to load, which can be annoying when there’s a line of people. We just do our jobs and try to keep the records straight. It’s practical work. No one here is trying to be a big shot. We just want to make sure the money is handled right and that the neighbors are looked after. It’s a simple setup in a good part of Prabhadevi where we focus on the daily tasks.
