We’re tucked away in units 11 and 12 of the Neelgiri Industrial Estate in Sewri West. The address is 183 Tackersey Jivraj Marg, which can be a bit of a mouthful if you’re giving directions over the phone. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by other workshops and warehouses. Our place, Power And Control, is mostly dedicated to electrical panels and control systems. It’s a lot of wiring, metal cabinets, and components spread out over the worktables. There’s usually a lot of wire clippings on the floor and a few soldering irons heating up. We don't have a fancy reception area; people just walk right into the work zone. It’s a bit messy at times, but that’s the nature of building electrical units from scratch. We’ve been here for a while, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the Sewri area. The estate can be a bit cramped, especially when everyone is trying to move goods at the same time. Our team is small, and we mostly just focus on getting the wiring right and making sure the panels are solid. We don’t do much advertising; most people find us because they work in the same industry or heard about us from a neighbor. It’s a practical, no-nonsense environment. We just do the job as best we can and try to keep things moving. It’s a decent way to earn a living in this part of Mumbai.
