The International Copper Promotion Council India is based at No. 602 in the Omega building, which is part of Hiranandani Gardens in Powai. Hiranandani is a pretty distinct part of the city. It has that specific architecture that looks a bit different from everything else in Mumbai. It’s a nice enough area to work in, with plenty of trees and paved walking paths all around. Our office is a purely functional space. We have our meetings here and handle all the administrative work that comes through. It’s not a massive office, but it fits our small team just fine. The atmosphere in Hiranandani is a bit more relaxed than the city center, though it still gets busy during the lunch hour when all the office workers come out to eat at the local spots. We’ve got our desks set up in a way that makes sense for the way we work, and the walls have plenty of charts and notes pinned up. It’s a quiet place for the most part, which is good when you need to focus on a difficult task. We’ve been at this address for a while and have gotten to know the security staff and the people in the offices next door. Sometimes we walk over to the nearby shops if we need a break or some supplies. It’s a good, solid place to be. We don’t go in for anything flashy; we just keep the office running and do what needs to be done.
