Porwal Auto Parts

Our shop, Porwal Auto Parts, is located at 1-A Mahadeo Palav Marg in Lower Parel. This part of the city has changed so much with all the new malls and big offices, but our street still feels like the old Mumbai. We deal with all sorts of auto parts and have things tucked away in every corner of the shop. It’s a narrow space, and the shelves go all the way to the ceiling. We spend a lot of our time digging through boxes to find the right part for a customer. The floor has some oil stains that won't ever come out, and there’s always a bit of grease on our hands. We don't wear suits or sit in fancy chairs. Most of the day we are standing or leaning over a counter. Lower Parel is always crowded, and Mahadeo Palav Marg is no exception. There are bikes and cars parked everywhere. We’ve been here long enough to know all the other shop owners on the block. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when business is slow just to watch the people go by. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here at number 1-A. It’s a simple business and we like it that way. We just try to help people get their vehicles back on the road without making a big fuss about it. We’ve been doing this for a long time.
