We are located on the ground floor of Shree Padmashi Bhuvan at 20/A. It’s right there in 1st Khattar Gali. This is a family-run place, and we’ve been here for quite some time now. The street is narrow and always full of life, which is typical for this part of the city. We don’t have a big staff or a human resources department. It’s mostly just family and a couple of helpers. We handle our daily business as it comes. The shop itself is old-fashioned. We haven’t changed much over the years because the current setup works for us. We deal with our customers face-to-face, mostly people who have been coming to us or our fathers for years. There’s a lot of ledger work and sitting on the floor or small stools. It’s not a modern office with air conditioning and glass walls. It gets warm in the afternoons, but we just open the doors to the street. We focus on being fair and getting the day's work done before the market shuts down. It’s a simple way of living and working. We know our neighbors and we know the rhythms of Khattar Gali. We just try to keep the books straight and the customers satisfied without making a big deal out of it. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours, but we are used to it. Life moves at a different pace here, and we just follow along with it.
