Polymerupdate

Our office is at 344 in the A To Z Industrial Estate on G.K. Marg in Lower Parel. Being in the West part of the district means we are right in the heart of Mumbai’s old mill areas turned into offices. Polymerupdate isn’t a factory with heavy machines, but it is a busy place where we handle a lot of data about polymers. The industrial estate is a huge complex and it’s easy to get lost if you’re coming here for the first time. There are always people moving boxes in the hallways and the elevators are usually slow. Inside our space, it’s mostly computers and desks covered in notes and old reports. We keep track of market prices and talk to people in the plastics industry all day long. It can get pretty stressful when things are moving fast in the markets. We drink a lot of tea from the guy who comes around with a kettle. The windows look out onto other industrial buildings and the traffic on G.K. Marg is always loud, even in the evenings. We don’t have fancy art on the walls or leather sofas. It’s just a functional office where we get our work done without much distraction. Some of us have been here since the company started and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. It’s a gritty part of the city but there is a lot of energy that keeps us going. We just keep our heads down, focus on the numbers, and make sure the data is updated.
