Pipl (Essel World)

Pipl (Essel World) is tucked away in I.C Colony over in Borivali West. Our office is on the second floor of the Om Sadguru Co-op Housing Society. It is a bit of a different setup since we are located in a residential colony rather than a big industrial estate. I.C Colony is a nice, quiet part of Mumbai, or at least as quiet as it gets around here. You have to look for building C/215 to find us. Since we are connected with the Essel World name, people sometimes expect a theme park vibe, but the office is actually very quiet and simple. We have our desks and chairs set up on the second floor and we just handle the behind-the-scenes stuff from here. The society has a lot of families living around, so we try to keep things respectful and not make too much noise. It is a bit of a walk from the main station, but the rickshaws know the way to Om Sadguru. We do not have a big reception area or anything flashy. It is just a group of us working through the daily tasks. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs more than we would like. It is a very local way of working, right in the heart of a Mumbai suburb. We just focus on the work and enjoy the fact that we are in a leafy part of Borivali.
