Kalwa is a very crowded and busy place, especially with the trains and the local markets, but it has a lot of life and energy to it. Our office is actually inside a residential society, so it has a much different feel than those big, cold commercial buildings you see in the city. You see the local neighbors going about their daily lives while we are inside trying to manage all the shipyard logistics and paperwork. It can get a little bit noisy sometimes with kids playing out in the common areas or people moving house, but we really don’t mind. It makes the workday feel a bit more real and grounded. We handle a lot of the administrative side of things from this office. Thane has grown so much over the years, and we have been watching all the new buildings go up right from our window. The traffic on the way to the office in the mornings can be a total nightmare, but that is just a part of living and working in this region. We are just a small crew of people working out of room 401. We don’t have any fancy furniture or a big reception desk to greet people. It is just desks, computers, and a whole lot of files. We try to keep it organized and just get on with things.
