Pidilite Industries Limited

We are located on the third floor of the Kantawala Building. This is on Sarang Street, right in the middle of Mumbai 3. It is a very old and busy part of the city, full of hardware shops and wholesale markets. The building itself has a lot of character, though the stairs can be a bit tiring after a few trips up and down. Pidilite Industries Limited has had a presence here for quite some time. The area is always crowded with porters and handcarts moving goods around. It is loud and hectic, but that’s just how Sarang Street is. Our office is tucked away on that third floor, which gives us a little bit of a break from the noise on the ground. We mostly handle orders and talk to the local traders who have been in this market for generations. We don't have a lot of space, so we have to stay very organized. There is no air conditioning in the hallways, just the sea breeze if we are lucky. We drink a lot of cutting chai while we work through the piles of invoices. It is a very traditional way of doing business, face to face and handshakes. We know our neighbors well, and everyone helps each other out when the monsoon rains flood the streets. It is not a polished corporate office, but it is where the real work happens for us in the heart of Mumbai’s old trading hub.
