About Picasso Lighting & Luminaries – Electrical in Mumbai
Our workshop is at Gala No.4, which is part of S.No.57, H.No.2 in Bilalpada. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but this is where all the actual work happens for Picasso Lighting & Luminaries. The gala is basically just a big open room where we keep our supplies and do the assembly. It’s nothing like those glossy showrooms you see in the city. We have wires, metal parts, and glass pieces scattered around on different tables. Most of the time, the radio is playing in the background to keep things from being too quiet while we work. The area around Bilalpada is quite industrial, so there’s always a bit of smoke or dust in the air from the nearby units. We don’t really have a front desk or a secretary. If you come by, you’ll probably just find one of us with our sleeves rolled up, busy with a project. We spend a lot of our time checking the parts that come in to make sure they aren’t damaged. Sometimes we stay late when there is a big order to finish, and the street outside gets really dark except for the lights from our open door. We’ve been in this specific gala for a few years now and it’s become like a second home to the guys who work here. We just focus on making sure the lights work and the orders get shipped out to the right addresses on time.
