You can find Phonomx Systems at Plot No-201 in the Universal Industrial Estate. We are on J.P. Road in Andheri West. Being in an industrial estate means it’s always noisy with trucks, machines, and people moving crates around. It’s not the kind of place where you’d come for a relaxing afternoon, but it’s perfect for the kind of systems work we do. Andheri West is always fast-paced. There’s a constant energy that can be tiring but also keeps you on your toes. Our unit is just one of many in the building. Inside, it’s a lot of metal shelves, workbenches, and tools. We don’t have any fancy signs or neon lights. The lift in the building is a bit temperamental, so we often end up taking the stairs. It keeps us fit, I suppose. J.P. Road is a main artery, so getting in and out during peak hours takes some patience. We’ve spent a lot of late nights here trying to get things right. It’s not a glamorous life, but there’s a satisfaction in fixing a complex system or getting a piece of hardware to behave. We don’t go in for big promises or corporate talk. We just show up, do the job, and deal with whatever the Mumbai humidity throws at us that day. The building manager is a bit of a character and always has a story to tell when he comes by. We’ve got a small balcony that looks out over the estate, though it’s mostly just a view of more rooftops and vents.
