We are located on the second floor of Belvedere Court in the Church Gate area. It’s one of those buildings that has a lot of character, though the elevator can be a bit temperamental sometimes. Most days I just take the stairs to wake myself up. The office has high ceilings which is nice because it doesn't feel cramped even when we have a lot of samples lying around. Since I do both architecture and interior design, there are always bits of fabric, wood swatches, and tiles cluttering up the side tables. It looks a bit chaotic to an outsider but I know where everything is. The windows look out towards the street and the noise of the traffic is just part of the background music now. I’ve lived in this city a long time and I think it shows in how I work. I usually start the day by clearing off my main desk which somehow gets covered in junk overnight. I have an old lamp that flickers if you don't hit it just right. The walls are a neutral color but they’re mostly hidden by shelves full of binders and old project files. We don't have a receptionist or anything fancy like that. If the phone rings, one of us just picks it up. It’s a simple setup but it gets the job done for us and the people who come to see us. The building sign says Bui on it.
