PHILIPS ELECTRONICS INDIA LTD. is based in the Nelco Building, which is inside the Technopolis Knowledge Park. This is on Mahakali Caves Road in the Chakala area of Andheri East. Even though the name Philips is known by everyone, this particular office is just a place where we handle the day-to-day business for the India branch. The Mahakali Caves Road is usually very busy with traffic, so getting here in the morning can be a bit of a struggle. Once you're inside the Knowledge Park, though, it’s a bit more organized. We have a lot of desks and computers where we manage electronics orders and support. It’s a typical Andheri East office setup. We don't really do the whole corporate "culture" thing with posters on the walls. We just come in, do our hours, and try to keep things running smoothly. There are a lot of different departments here, but we all just feel like regular workers trying to do a good job. We don't have a mission statement that we recite. We just know what we have to do regarding the electronics and we do it. It’s a professional enough place, but it still feels like a local office where people talk about their families and the commute. We are just a part of the busy Chakala landscape, doing our part in the electronics industry.
