If you head down to Govandi East, you’ll find us in the Sanghvi Industrial Estate. We’re in the Kasturi building on the Govandi Station Road. It’s a very industrial part of Mumbai, which means lots of trucks and people moving crates around all day long. Being so close to the station is actually pretty handy for the staff. You just walk a few minutes and you’re at the platform. The estate itself is quite old and has that specific smell of metal and grease that you find in manufacturing areas. We’ve been here for years. Our space is filled with equipment and desks that have seen a lot of use. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a fancy suit. Most of us just wear comfortable clothes because things can get a bit dusty. We deal with a lot of technical stuff every day. There’s always a machine being tested or some parts being sorted out in the back. It’s a busy atmosphere but everyone knows what they’re supposed to do. Sometimes we stay late when a big project needs to go out. We order some vada pav from the stall outside and keep at it. It’s hard work, but it’s honest. We don’t bother with much corporate talk. We just focus on the job at hand and making sure the machines are running right.
