Our place is over at Pfizer Centre, which is building number 5 in the Patel Estate, just off S.V. Road. If you know Mumbai traffic, you know that S.V. Road is a real test of patience most days, but it’s where we are and we make it work. The estate itself has a lot of different businesses, but we have our own corner where we handle the Pfizer operations. It’s a functional space, lots of desks and meeting rooms that see a lot of use throughout the week. We don’t go in for anything too flashy; the focus is just on the daily tasks at hand. People are usually coming and going, carrying folders or checking their schedules. The building has a bit of an older feel to it, which some of us actually prefer because it feels more established. We deal with a lot of coordination across different regions from this office, so there’s always a bit of a buzz. Usually, lunch is a quick affair, sometimes ordered in or brought from home, eaten while we talk about anything but work for a few minutes. It’s just a standard professional environment where everyone knows their role and gets on with it. Living and working off S.V. Road means you learn to appreciate the quiet moments when the traffic finally thins out in the evening. We don't have a lot of extra frills, just what we need to stay productive and keep things on track.
