We are over in Kandivli West at B/207, Neelam Apartment. It’s on S.M. Cross Road No. 2, right in the Irani Wadi area. Since we are in an apartment building, the office has a very lived-in feel to it. You have to go up the stairs and past the other neighbors to get to our door. Inside, we have converted the rooms into workspaces with plenty of tables and chairs squeezed in. Mumbai is always noisy, and you can hear the sounds of the street and the local trains not too far off. We work as consultants, so our days are filled with looking at plans, talking to clients, and trying to keep all the projects on track. The shelves are packed with folders and old records because we’ve been doing this for a long time. There is no central air conditioning, just a few window units that hum loudly while we work. We usually order tea from the guy downstairs a couple of times a day. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when everyone is in the office at the same time, but we make it work. We don't worry about looking like a big corporate firm; we just focus on giving honest advice and getting the paperwork through. It’s a busy life in Kandivli, and we are just happy to have a steady place to do our business and help our clients out. It’s a long way from the station, but we like it here.
