Patanwala Enterprises

Patanwala Enterprises is down at 57-A in the Krishna Bhuvan building. We are on the ground floor, which helps because Lohar Chawl is always packed. If you know K. M. Sharma Marg, you know how it gets during the day. It’s crowded and loud, but that’s just how it is around here. We’ve been in this spot for some time now. Opening the shutters every morning is just part of the life. We don’t have a big corporate lobby or anything like that. It’s just the shop floor and our desks. The light isn't always the best being on the ground floor of an old building, but we make do. Sometimes we step out for tea when things get slow, though they rarely do in Lohar Chawl. There is a lot of history in these streets. You see the same faces every day, the delivery guys and the other shop owners. We just focus on our own tasks at Patanwala Enterprises. It’s a practical way to live. No one here wears a suit unless they have to. We’re usually just in our regular clothes, dealing with whatever comes through the door. The walls are a bit dusty and the files are stacked high, but we know where everything is. It’s a bit messy, but it’s our mess. We just show up, do the work, and go home. That's the reality of it. We just keep the business going.
