J N V Automotives is out in the Patal Ganga area. It’s an industrial zone, so it’s mostly just factories and warehouses around us. We deal with automotive parts and the mechanical side of vehicles. The workshop stays pretty greasy, which is expected when you’re working on engines and chassis all day. We have a small team of mechanics and office staff who have been here for years. The commute out to Patal Ganga is a bit of a trek for some, but once you’re here, it’s all about the work. We have these big overhead doors that stay open to let the air in while the guys are welding or fixing trucks. It’s loud, and sometimes we have to yell to be heard over the grinders. We don't really do much advertising; people just know we are here because their companies send their fleets to us. There's a small room in the back where we keep the spare parts inventory, which is always a struggle to keep tidy. Coffee breaks usually happen around 11, and that’s the only time the machines stop. It’s a straightforward business. If something is broken, we try to fix it. If we need a part, we order it. We aren't trying to be the biggest place around, just a reliable shop where the work gets finished on time. The weather out here can be harsh, but the shed keeps the rain off while we finish the day's repairs.
