You can find us at Slot N Bolt Company, located at 23 Anand Bhuvan on Saint Xavier's Street in Parel. It is an old building, and we have been here for quite some time. Parel has changed a lot around us, with new buildings going up all the time, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. The shop is full of heavy drawers and shelves packed with all sorts of hardware. It smells like metal and old oil in here, which is something you just get used to after a while. We don't have a fancy showroom or a team of salespeople in suits. It is just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If someone comes in looking for a specific size or a weird part, we usually have to dig around for a bit to find it. We aren't really into modern marketing or trying to be the most famous shop in Mumbai. We just want to provide what people need so they can get back to their own work. The street outside is always noisy with cars and people, but inside we just focus on the task at hand. Sometimes the bookkeeping gets a bit behind, and the shop floor needs a good sweep, but we get to it when we can. It is a steady way to live, and we have made some good friends in the neighborhood over the years.
