Our unit is located at J36 in the Tarapur MIDC area out in Boisar. It’s a heavy industrial zone, so there are always tankers and trucks moving around the narrow roads. We deal with chemical products, so we have to be pretty careful about how we handle things every day. It’s not the kind of job where you can just relax; you have to pay attention to the drums and the mixing all the time. The office is just a small cabin with a fan and a lot of safety manuals on the shelf. We spend most of our time out on the shop floor anyway. The air here always smells a bit like chemicals, but you stop noticing it after the first hour. We have a small crew and we all wear our boots and gear even when it’s boiling hot outside. It’s hard work, but we have been doing it for years now and we have a good routine down. We don’t do any fancy marketing or go to big trade shows. Most of our contracts are with other factories in the same industrial belt. We just focus on getting the mixtures right and making sure the deliveries are on time. Sometimes the rain in Boisar gets really heavy and floods the road, but we still try to get the work done. It’s just a regular industrial life for us.
