Palcoman Clearing & Forwarding is tucked away on the 4th Floor of M.K. Bhavan. The address is 300, Sbs Rd. Being on the fourth floor means we have a bit of a view, though we’re mostly looking at paperwork all day. We’ve been in this building for quite a while. The elevator is old and sometimes it’s faster to just take the stairs, even if it leaves us a bit winded. Clearing and forwarding is a lot of back-and-forth, so our phones are usually ringing. It’s not a quiet place to work. There are files everywhere, stacked on desks and sometimes even on the floor when we run out of shelf space. We aren't a big fancy logistics company with a fleet of trucks. We mostly handle the details and the documents from this office on Sbs Rd. It’s just a handful of us here. We know each other's habits and how we like our tea. We don't spend money on fancy furniture or branding. Most of our stuff is second-hand but it works fine. People who use our services know where to find us. We’ve survived a lot of changes in the industry just by showing up and doing the work. It’s a simple setup, but it’s our setup. We’re just a regular local business trying to keep things moving through the port. We don't have any plans to change how we do things.
