Padmavati Forge Industries

Padmavati Forge Industries is located in the Rajyog Building. We are at Shop No - 3 on 1st Carpenter Street. It’s a narrow street but it’s always full of activity. We do a lot of heavy work here, so it’s not the quietest place to be. The sound of metal and tools is pretty much our background music all day long. We started small and stayed that way because we like being able to see everything that goes on. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in the shop with all the equipment, but we make it work. Most of the people who come to us are looking for specific forged parts. We don't use much fancy talk, we just look at what's needed and get it made. The air smells like oil and iron, which is fine by us. My hands are usually a bit dirty by lunch time, but that’s the nature of the industry. We've been at 37/39 for years and know all the other shop owners on the street. We help each other out when we can. It’s a hard-working environment. We don’t have a website that’s updated every day or anything like that. We just focus on the forge and the orders on the table. If you need us, you just come to the shop and we talk. It’s better that way anyway so we don’t have any misunderstandings. We aren't trying to be the biggest forge in the city.
