P. Sons Lighting

Our place, P. Sons Lighting, has a bit of a confusing address because it is tucked away in the Gokahiwar Re Industrial Area in Goregaon East. We are near the Marathi school and Janki Para, so you can often hear the kids playing and shouting during their break times. The workshop is full of glass, wires, and different kinds of metal frames. We have to be really careful because one wrong move and something breaks on the floor. It is a bit cramped inside with all the boxes stacked up to the ceiling. We have workbenches with soldering irons and little screwdrivers scattered everywhere. Mumbai is always humid, so it gets very sweaty in the industrial area, especially in the late afternoons. We spend a lot of time testing bulbs to make sure they actually light up before we pack them into the cardboard boxes. The Cama Estate area is always busy, and getting through the narrow lanes can be a nightmare if a big truck is parked badly. We do not have a big showroom; it is mostly just us working on the components. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit and wait, which gives us some time to talk. We have been in this spot for a while now, and everyone around here knows us as the lighting guys near the school. We just keep our heads down and get the wiring done.
