D-212 in the Bonanza Industrial Estate is where you’ll find us. P. M. Industries has been here in Kandivali East for quite some time now. The estate is always buzzing with the sound of machines and the smell of grease. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but it’s where real work happens. Our unit is packed with equipment, and there’s barely enough room to walk between the benches sometimes. We make parts and components, so there’s always a lot of metal scraps and oil around. The fan on the ceiling wobbles a bit, but it keeps the air moving while we’re working. We don't wear suits or sit in air-conditioned booths all day. Most of us are on our feet, checking the machines or measuring pieces against the drawings. Ashok Chakravarty Road is always clogged with delivery vans, so we’ve learned to be patient with the loading and unloading. It’s hard work, and your hands are usually dirty by ten in the morning. We don’t have a fancy lunchroom; we just eat at the back or go out to the local stall nearby. P. M. Industries isn't trying to be anything other than a solid workshop. We take the orders, we set the machines, and we produce what’s needed. It’s repetitive and loud, but there’s a rhythm to it that we like. We’ve been doing it this way for years now and don't plan on changing much.
