P. Chandra Trading Company

You can find P. Chandra Trading Company over at 67-A on Mangaldas Road. We are right in the heart of Lohar Chawl, which is always a bit of a madhouse with all the trading going on. It’s been our home for years. We deal in all sorts of goods, mostly just shifting stock and keeping track of what people need. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling with boxes. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for, but we usually get there. It’s a narrow street and the sun doesn't always reach the bottom, but the energy is high. We don't go in for fancy talk or big promises. We just sell what we have at a fair price. Most of our customers are regulars who have been coming to us for a decade or more. We know their names and what they usually need. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting crates and checking invoices. The fans are always going in the summer, but it still gets hot inside with all the stock blocking the breeze. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on being here every day. If the door is open, we’re open. That’s how we’ve always done it. It’s a busy life in the Chawl, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep things moving and help whoever walks in.
