Optilum Lighting Pvt. Ltd. is situated in the New Sonal Link Estate-II. If you’re driving down Link Road in Malad West, you know the area can get pretty crowded with cars and people. Our spot in the estate is where we handle all our business. It’s a typical industrial estate setup with lots of different businesses side by side. We have a fair amount of space for all the lighting fixtures and parts we keep on hand. It’s usually a bit of a mix of boxes being packed and items being checked over. We don't have a fancy showroom; it’s more about the actual work of managing the stock and getting things ready for where they need to go. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a relief during the Malad summers. We spend a lot of our hours looking at specs and making sure the counts are right. It’s a lot of physical work too, moving things around the floor to make room for new shipments. We have a couple of desks for the admin stuff, but most of the action happens out on the floor. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We’ve been here at the Link Road location for a while, and we’ve gotten to know the other people in the estate. It’s a busy, practical place to work every day. We just try to keep up with everything that needs doing.
