One Up Studio & Academy

One Up Studio & Academy is over in Bandra West on Rebello Road. We are situated in the Blue Haven Co-operative Housing Society, specifically units Gg1 and Gg2. It’s an interesting spot because it’s right off the Mount Mary Church steps. You also have the 214 bus stop right nearby, which makes it easy for students and clients to get here without needing a car. Mehboob Studio is another big landmark that’s just a stone’s throw away. We’ve been running the studio and the academy out of this space for some time now. It’s a bit of a mix here, with people coming in for services and others coming to learn. The space is practical, filled with the tools we need for teaching and working. Bandra can be a bit chaotic, but Rebello Road has its own character. We get a lot of foot traffic from people walking up to the church or heading to the studio. We don’t use any big signs or loud colors, just a simple door where people can come in. The building itself is a typical Mumbai housing society, so it feels very much like a part of the community. We spend our days either with a class or working on individual clients. It’s a busy life but we enjoy being right here in the middle of everything. We spend a lot of time cleaning up brushes and setting up for the next day's work. It's just a regular studio life, nothing more and nothing less.
